Business Policies

At LOVERSHAUS, clear expectations make for better creative work. Below is an overview of the key policies for our photography project services that protect both your vision and our collaborative process. Studio policies can be found on a separate studio rental policy page.

Booking & Communication

  • Initial Consult Required: All pricing discussions begin after a scheduled Zoom or phone consult. This ensures alignment before moving forward.

  • No Quote Without Consultation: Projects are discussed in detail before any estimates are shared.

  • Booking Confirmation: Your session is officially booked only once the deposit is received and the contract is signed.

  • Communication Delays: If communication lapses significantly, creative control may default to LOVERSHAUS, and deposits may be forfeited.

Payment & Deposits

  • Deposits: Required to secure your session and are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Rushed Projects: Short timelines incur additional fees.

  • Payment Deadlines: All remaining payments are due according to the contract timeline.

Image Ownership & Usage

  • RAW Files: Available for purchase. If edited by another party, proper credit must be provided:Photographer: Jamie Lynn/@lovershaus; Edited by: [Editor’s Name]

  • Image Selection: Clients have 14 days to submit selects after receiving proofs. If selects are not received, Jamie will complete the edit based on her selections.

  • Image Access: Final images must be downloaded within 3 weeks of delivery. After that, files will no longer be accessible due to storage constraints.

Location & Shoot Control

  • Location Approval: All shoot locations must be confirmed by LOVERSHAUS. Unauthorized bookings may result in forfeiting your deposit.

  • Creative Direction: Clients are expected to trust the visual expertise being hired. This includes location choice, lighting approach, and shot planning.

Revisions & Approvals

  • Revisions: Not included unless specifically outlined in your contract.

  • Step-by-Step Workflow: Each phase of your project builds on the last. Progress is dependent on timely approvals and responses.

  • Moodboard Approval: Required within 48 hours of receipt.

Project Conduct

  • Respect the Process: Clients are expected to show up prepared, punctual, and communicative. You’ll receive prep materials and reminders ahead of your shoot to ensure everything runs smoothly.

  • Late Selects or Prep Materials: Delays in delivering selects, moodboard approvals, or outfit plans can affect the timeline or final outcome.

LOVERSHAUS is a space built on creative trust, high standards, and thoughtful boundaries. These policies exist to support great work and a positive experience for both client and photographer. Thank you for respecting the process.
